The two main electric guitars that Matt plays and depends upon in the studio and on stage are custom built Telecaster style guitars that he designed and built from scratch himself. Matt is a very skilled guitar technician, luthier, and carpenter. The guitar cabinets that he plays through on the road and in the studio were also designed and custom built by Matt to his exact specifications using an Eminence Wizard and Swamp Thang in his 2x12.
Matt Bigler started playing guitar in the small ranching community of Wickenburg Arizona at 13 and began learning the art of audio engineering at 19. He played in a number of bands in high school and shortly after graduation he became the lead guitarist for VMR, a local band with minor label interests. He later went on to play guitar with the internationally acclaimed classic country band The Arizona Outlaws who toured and played with such country music greats as Waylon Jennings, Ray Price, Johnny Paycheck, Merle Haggard, and Johnny Cash. Matt credits a great deal of his growth as a musician and performer to time he spent with Jim Monnett, Chuck Brinkman and the rest of the Outlaws.
Throughout his entire life Matt has always had the dream, drive, and determination that makes him one of the best guitarists, engineers, producers, and technicians in the business.
