Greg Campbell

Greg Campbell was born in Helena, Montana in 1974. He is a virtuoso bassist and cutting edge multi-instrumental musician. He is accomplished on electric bass, upright pizzicato bass, electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, drums, vocals, as well as being a top notch guitar set-up and fret technician. Gregs parents met at the Silver Spur bar in Helena, Montana in 1972 setting the stage for Gregs musical legacy. Gregs mother claims that Gregs lifelong love of music began before he was born when, she swears, he would kick to the beat of his fathers bass drum. Greg wanted to be a drummer too, instead when he was a 3rd grader, his dad bought him a guitar and amp at a garage sale for $15 and taught me the bass line to Walk Dont Run. Greg then switched to bass in the seventh grade when no one else wanted to be the bass player in his first band and the rest is history. Greg is a now a top call professional musician, and a private instructor for both bass and guitar. Since 1989, he has helped thousands of private students step into a life of music and enjoy the creative process. Gregs talent and ability have been recognized throughout the industry and he is frequently seen alongside the worlds greatest bassists doing clinics, workshops, or just hangin at BASS events and trade shows. In 1994, he was one of ten finalists worldwide in Billy Sheehans Bass Player Magazine scholarship contest. That same year he became a key volunteer staff member at the unrivaled annual Bozeman Bass Bash, he also formerly co-owned and ran a music store with his wife Lisa. While attending High School in Glendive, Montana, November 5th, 1990, Greg Campbell met his wife Lisa for the first time. Although it took several years for them to cross paths again, they were married June 4th, 2011 and have four wonderful kids, the family now resides in Helena, Montana. He has never once wavered from his musical dreams and continues to keep his music fresh.
