Derek Wells

Eminence speakers bring my amps to life_ period. The way theyre SUPPOSED to sound! A native son of Nashville and of two musician parents, it almost seems like Derek Wells couldnt help but dive in to the music business himself. After a brief stint in college pursuing a real degree, Derek came home when he was 19 to concentrate on music full time_ It proved to be the right choice. After kicking around town for a year, and honing his craft, Derek won an audition to become lead guitarist and musical director for Multi-Platinum MCA artist Josh Turner_ a position he would hold for 5 years. During his tenure there and since then, Derek has also been called to perform and/or recorded with artists like: Dolly Parton (her latest album: Backwoods Barbie and 08 winter tour), Sara Evans, Lady Antebellum, Randy Travis, John Anderson, Julliane Hough, Chynna Phillips, Phil Stacey, Danielle Peck and Katie Armiger among others. He has also been on national TV shows such as: The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Early Show, Jay Leno, Grand Ole Opry, CMT: Cross Country, David Letterman, CMT: Road to the Opry, The CMA Awards and The ACM Awards to name a few. Living in Nashville with his wife, Derek Wells is currently focusing on recording and continuing to do shows with Sara Evans and others.
