"I'm currently running 1x12" Eminence Cannabis Rex, in a small combo, and sound guys/ guitarist/fans/friends alike, have nothing but great things to say about that little (huge) speaker. Tone comments definitely make for a great way to end the night? Especially on small gigs where I might run that speaker/amp all alone and cranked to 10. It's great for my Mid Range "Honk", (think Southern/Tele licks). I use that particular amp/speaker combination for a lot of the southern twang, and tele stuff we do both live, and it's really blown everyone away in the studio. The Cannabis Rex is all over the new Starroy record... I'm personally looking forward to seeing what other speaker combinations Eminence might have to offer, as I'm sold on the Cannabis Rex. "

Starroy is a band!!! Centered in the heart of the Midwest, only a stones throw away from the home of the blues, and a quick nap from the land of country. Deeply rooted in the mud of the soulful delta & fixed by the funk & groove of the big easy… Some would say you’re a product of your environment. With that in mind, Starroy doesn’t fall too far from the tree!!! This well traveled four-piece delivers its own mixture of Country- Fried, Psychedelic, ROCK ‘n’ ROLL nightly.
On the verge of nationwide exposure, Starroy has consistently toured 12 states, 50+ cities, and sees the likes of stages both big & small. Performing 100+ official dates in 2006, and putting in 70+ official dates in 2005, the band felt it due time to construct a record for the public. Starroy has survived the last 2 years solely on live recordings & the creditable reputation of being the hardest working/touring band in Arkansas. In December of 2006, the band finished production of a highly anticipated full length studio release entitled – “Ocho For Willow”. The album was recorded over a 7 month period (June – December 2006) in Nashville, TN, at Fox Mountain Studios by Engineer Brad Vosburg (Meat Puppets – “Too High to Die”). It is a collection of acoustic, instrumental, & all of the good ol’ rocks ‘n’ roll tracks the band is so well known for live. The CD was released on NYE of 2007, and began airplay in the NE Arkansas listening areas the following week. Ocho For Willow will be stretching it’s legs throughout the coming year. Likewise, look for Starroy in music venues across the US in support of - OCHO FOR WILLOW.
