Born in Glasgow, Ky. March 8, 1959. I was raised by my father Norbert, and my mother, Lucinda, in a little town called Park City Ky. It had one stop light, two mom and pop grocery stores, and a couple of gas stations. My dad was a performer who played rockabilly and country music in his spare time. He used to take me to the Dixie Jamboree on Saturday nights to watch him perform. I would stand on a stool backstage, between sets, and play an old upright bass. Between that and the Beatles, you could say that I was pretty much ruined. "Geeeetar has ruined my life." I started my first band with my two first cousins, Richard and Fred Young. Our first band was called "Truce." Later on, Richard met Greg Martin at his high school, brought him home with him and we called ourselves "Aftermath". We later changed the name to "Itchy Brother",when we needed a new name for a project we recorded. Any way, after years and years of performing with all kinds of different artists, Fred, Greg, Richard, Doug Phelps, and myself, are "The Kentucky Headhunters".
